Social Programme

Tuesday 21st May

Corporate Members’ Evening
Renew old friendships and make new ones in the exciting surroundings of the Science Centre, Glasgow’s newest visitor attraction. While you’re wining and dining check out your hot spots on the thermal imaging camera, see a computer simulation of how you’ll look in 2020 or just sit back and chat as the river Clyde rolls by.

Wednesday 22nd May

Glasgow Duck
Take a guided tour through the city centre down to the River Clyde, then brace yourselves for splashdown as your trip continues on the water in a converted World War II amphibious vehicle.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh
Enjoy an illustrated introduction to the life and works of Glasgow’s greatest architect and designer over refreshments at Queen’s Cross Church, his only completed church. See for yourself the inventive use of light and Art Nouveau details that have become his trade mark.

Gruesome Glasgow Walking Tour
Travel back in time from the Victorian splendour of George Square, through the elegance of the Merchant City to the old medieval heart of Glasgow. Hear tales of colourful characters and dark deeds.

Hampden Park
Football fans can't miss Scotland’s National Stadium, the home of our renowned Tartan Army. Visit the world’s first national football museum and take a stroll on the hallowed turf before dinner in the hospitality suite.

Theatre Royal - The Woman in Black
Spend a spine-chilling evening at Glasgows premier theatre as the adaptation of Susan Hill's best selling novel is played out before you. Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, this West End production on tour for the first time, combines the intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of film noir.

Hill Walk
Stretch your legs with a hike up Barr Hill to the ruins of a Roman Fort and past the best-preserved sections of the Antonine Wall. On a clear day see the Forth Estuary and the Island of Arran. Then stroll back the towpath of the Forth and Clyde canal and on to your meal stop.

Golf
Put your handicap to the test on one of our local courses.

Dinner in Hotel
For those not taking part in any of the social events.
